Langtang - Gosainkunda - Helambu Trek


Trek in area get the opportunity to travel through pristine forests to the village of Ghoda Tabela, where the valley of Langtang opens. Langtang provide lodging this area, which provide gorgeous camping sites, spectacular peaks and wide glaciers. The trekkers, if they wish, can explore glacier filled side canyons by hiking to the head of the valley. It is a holy place for Hindus. Thousands of Hindus make a pilgrimage there during the summer to pay homage to Lord Shiva. A lake called Gosainkunda itself is situated here at 4380 meters. There are other popular lakes nearby including Nagkunda, Suryakunda, Saraswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. The route to Gosainkunda passes through varied landscapes ranging from evergreen forest to sub alpine grasslands where cascading waterfalls and beautiful mountains make an addition to its beauty. It lies to the north of Kathmandu where dominantly Sherpa and Tamang peoples have their homes. The trekkers come in contact with temperate forests and alpine pastures, glaciers lakes and snowy peaks that can sometimes give the feeling of being in heaven which area is very peace and it has beautiful views with landscape, diversity in cultural etc..

Day 01: Kathmandu to Syaprubesi (1460m.) via Trisuli Bazar, Dhunche (2030m.) (district head quarter of Rasuwa) by local bus 12-14 hours & Lancruiser 6-7 drive. On the way during your driving period you can see different local village of Nepalese life style.

Day 02: Trek to Lama Hotel (2769m.) it takes 7 hours walk via Dumin, Pairo (landslide), Bamboo, Rimche and finally you arrive in Lama Hotel it in close to river. People in this region are Gurung community and they follow Buddies religion.

Day 03: Trek to Langtang (3200m.) it takes 6-7 hours walk. Trail from Gumnachok, river side, Ghoratabela, Thyangsyapu, Chyamki and you arrive in Langtang village. This is one of the old village in this region, all are Gurung community. Visit local village, see people life style in this area.

Day 04: Trek to Kyanjing Gompa (3700m.) it takes 4 hours walk. Follow trail from Mundu, Sindum and finally you arrive in Kyanjing Gompa and geographically land is almost looks dry but still some buses which is normally green in July, August.

Day 05:  Acclimatization day in Kyanjing Gompa. After breakfast visit monastery, climb up to Kyanjing Ri (4230m.) for mountain view in 360 degree, back down to hotel relax all the day.

Day 06: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2769m.) it takes 7 hours walk same way down via Langtang, Ghoratabela, river side and you arrive in Lama Hotel. 

Day 07: Trek to Thulosyapru (Syapru Gaun) (2210m.) it takes 5-6 hours walk. Via  Rimche, Bamboo, Pairo and finally you arrive in Thulosyapru and hotel is almost on the top of village where you can see local village from top, visit monastery and school.

Day 08: Trek to Singumpa (Chandanbari) (3250m.) it takes 5 hours walk from Dursagang, Phoprang (which is on the top of hill) where you can see mountain, this is last place where you can have eat or drink before Singumpa and finally you are in Singumpa.

Day 09: Trek to Gosainkunda (4300m.) it takes 6 hours walk via Cholangpati, Laurebinayak and you arrive in Gosainkunda. Trail from Cholangpati to  Laurebinayak top is steep but one of the beautiful day and you can see several mountains from on the way.

Day 10: Trek to Phedi (3630m.) it takes 5 hours walk via Gosainkunda pass (4610m.) after pass steep down until Hotel in Phedi. This is your one of the beautiful day on the way and fantastic panoramic view in 360 degree from top.

Day 11: Trek to Tharepati (3510m.) it takes 6 hours walk from Ghopte, Kharka and you arrive Tharepati it is on the hill where you can see sunset and sunrise view and other views. Which deeply memory people from sea level it is absolutely different than own country.

Day 12: Trek to Gul Bhangyang (2130m.) 5-6 hours walk all the way from Mangengoth, Kutumsang and finally you are in Gul Bhangyang. Today trail between forest, local villages and see Nepalese life style.

Day 13: Trek to Chisapani (2215m.) it takes 6-7 hours walk from Thangkune Bhanjyang, Pati Bhanjyang and you arrive in Chisapani. Trail to day among local villages, farmer field specially and different life style than mountain area.

Day 14: Trek to Mulkhara cross the national park check point down to Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu by local bus one an half hours and private car / van 40 minute.
